One Ton of asphalt provides coverage of approximately 50 sqft at 3inches deep, or 40 at sqft at 4 inches, and 30sq ft at 5 inches. The estimated sidewalk/walkway repair is 1,000 sqft of space, so that cost would be about $2,700, $3,375, or $4,500 respectively. In addition to this repair area, we anticipate similar needs in the hardscape play areas and repairs on and near the basketball courts. In total, the $10,000 requested would allow for the repair of the most damaged walkway and improvements in our outdoor program hardscape areas. The provided quote informs the calculation of need and asphalt cost. This is a standard cost for municipal paving.
