It is more efficient in its delivery of lifesaving blood and meets FDA standards. Additionally the patient-use disposables for this system is significantly less expensive than the current warming system in use. This system also allows CFD transfusion medics to implement additional equipment already on- hand for critically injured patients in need of rapid infusions, thereby improving the life- saving care rendered by the Field Tranfusion Paramedic Program.
