excise taxes of 1929, 1930 and 1931 were examined and checked.
The commitments since January 1, 1931, were verified and
with the assessors' warrants for their collection. The

aggregate of the outstanding accounts on August 24, 19'31, on
each of the several levies was reported to the assessors for recom-
mitment.
The former collector is to be commended for the high standards
maintained both in collecting taxes and keeping his records.
Appended to this report are summaries of the sundry tax
transactions.
For the courtesies extended and assistance rendered by the
various town officials during the process of the audit, I wish, on
behalf of my assistants and for myself, to express appreciation.
