RE: Canton Preserve
Dear Mr. Chairman:
I recently conducted a site visit of Canton Preserve. The fire hydrants are in compliance with town
standards. I have checked with the Canton Water Department to assure that the hydrants are in working
order. The Canton Fire Department no longer requires fire alarm street boxes. Should you have any
questions feel free to contact me.
Respectfully,

MEMORANDUM
TO: Canton Planning Board
FROM: Alfons Koka PE

DATE: September 12, 2025
SUBJECT: PROJECT COMPLETION REVIEW STILLWATER ESTATES
The Town of Canton Department of Public Works Engineering Division (TOC) issued an updated cost to
complete letter to the Planning Board on February 2nd 2025. Since that letter was issued TOC has performed
multiple site visits, and camera inspections of the installed underground utilities at the Stillwater Estates
Subdivision to ensure that work completed is in accordance with the approved plans.
During the site visits and camera inspections multiple issues were observed. These issues included damages to
the cape cod berm and damages to the underground storm drain concrete pipe. TOC relayed this information to
the subdivision owner/representative via emails and site meetings.
The subdivision owner/representative has fixed all the damaged berm and pipe by performing a repair that was
acceptable to The Town, and has provided evidence of the repairs.
After reviewing the repairs (both in person and via camera inspection) TOC is satisfied with the work
performed. The remaining punch list items have been addressed. No further repairs are requested of the
applicant.
