PLANNING BOARD 
June 4, 2025 
MINUTES 
Present: David McCarthy, Chair 
Jim Quigley, Vice Chair 
Patricia McDermott, Clerk 
Sean Robinson, Member 
Also Present: Karen Lawlor, Administrative Assistant. 
Chair McCarthy called to order the Planning Board Meeting of June 4, 2025 at 
6:30 p.m. 
A motion was made by Chair McCarthy and seconded Ms. McDermott to open the public 
meeting of June 4, 2025. All in Favor, Motion Approved 4-0. 
Chair McCarthy welcomed everyone to the Planning Board meeting of June 4, 2025. We are 
meeting in the Salah Room at Memorial Hall and Canton Cable is broadcasting. He would 
like to take the Agenda out of order tonight, to introduce and welcome our new Town Planner, 
Connor Murphy. He is coming to us from the Town of Braintree with a great resume. We look 
forward to a long relationship with Mr. Murphy. 
Connor Murphy introduced himself and explained he is the new Town Planner. He is very 
excited to be here and has gotten right into the work, and is looking forward to working here. 
This is a very active Town with something always happening, and he requested that the Board 
use him as a resource and to come to him with any questions. 
A motion was made by Chair McCarthy and seconded Mr. Quigley to open Item #1, 
Reorganization. All in Favor, Motion Approved 4-0. 
First Item on the Agenda (i) REORGANIZATION OF THE BOARD 
Mr. McCarthy explained that ever year after Town Meeting we reorganize the Board and 
requested nominations. 
A motion was made by Mr. Quigley to nominate Mr. McCarthy as Chair for another term, 
seconded by Ms. McDermott. All in favor, Motion Approved 4-0. 
A motion was made by Mr. Quigley to nominate Ms. McDermott as Vice Chair, seconded by 
Chair McCarthy. All in favor, Motion Approved 4-0. 
A motion was made by Ms. McDermott to nominate Mr. Quigley as Clerk, seconded by Mr. 
Robinson, All in favor, Motion Approved 4-0.
