Select Board Executive Session Minutes June 11, 2024 5:30 PM Executive Session Memorial Hall, 801 Washington St., Canton, MA Chair Michael C. Loughran I Vice Chair John R. McCourt Clerk Christopher M. Albert I Member Patricia M. Boyden I Member John J. Connolly Also Present: Charles E. Doody, Town Administrator; Laurie Bogue, Administrative Secretary. Also present: Jody Middleton, Human Resource Director, Mr. Randy Scollins, Finance Director, Town Counsel Paul DeRensis Motion was made by the Chair to call the meeting to order at 5:30 PM, seconded by Mr. J. McCourt Roll call vote 4-0 Ms. P. Boyden Affirmative Mr. J. Connolly Affirmative Mr. J. McCourt Affirmative Mr, M. Loughran Affirmative Motion was made by the Chair to move to Executive Session to conduct strategy sessions in preparation for negotiations with non -union personnel or to conduct collective bargaining sessions or contract negotiations with non -union personnel (Personal Service Contracts); to discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining (AEA) if an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining position of the public body and the chair so declares was called to order at 5:31 PM, seconded by Mr. J. McCourt Roll call vote 4-0 Ms. P. Boyden Affirmative Mr. J. Connolly Affirmative Mr. J. McCourt Affirmative Mr. M. Loughran Affirmative Mr. Christopher Albert was not present at this time. Ms. Jody Middleton, Human Resource Director was before the Board to provide update on Personal Service Contracts. More discussion was had. It was noted there will be discussion with the employees. Mr. Christopher Albert joined the meeting at 6:18 PM Ms. Jody Middleton, Human Resource Director was before the Board and updated the Board on the AEA contract. More discussion was had. It was noted that this would be voted on at a future meeting.
