Sullivan of the Walk, Bike & Hike Committee. All in favor, Motion Approved 3-0.
First Item on the Agenda (1) Jeff Sullivan (Walk, Bike and Hike) Discussion
regarding Planning Board Support for the Mary E. Wentworth Boardwalk and Recreation Site
Renovation.
Mr. Sullivan of 4 Bailey introduced himself and explained that he has been working on this
project for a few years. He is seeking support from the Planning Board for a boardwalk and
recreation site that would provide access to the Bolivar Street Pool thru Bailey Street, which
was originally a goat path. This is approximately an eighteen (18) acre area and goes behind
the Waterfall Restaurant and the condominium units. He met with Chestnut Hill who owns
the condos and they are in support of this project. They are not encumbering any easements;
not interfering with condo property; will be ADA accessible; will not interfere with the
Conservation Commission; and they are also creating a boat launch. He is just informing the
Board on the progress and looking for any suggestions or input from the Board. They will
have two (2) acres of additional parking and will want to add crosswalks.
The Board was in favor of this project and felt it is a great idea
A motion was made by Ms. McCormack and seconded by Mr. Quigley to send a favorable
recommendation on the preliminary plans for the Boardwalk and Recreation Site. All in favor,
