TOWN OF CANTON PLANNING BOARD MEETING WEDNESDAY, APRIL 6, 2022 MEMORIAL HALL 8oi Washington Street Salah Meeting Room MINUTES Present: Patricia McDermott, Acting Chair Kathy McCormack, Clerk Joseph Amrhein, Member Jim Quigley, Member Also Present: Thomas Houston, Professional Services Corporation Laura Smead, Town Planner Acting Chair McDermott called to order the Planning Board meeting of April 6, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. A motion was made by Acting Chair McDermott and seconded by Ms. McCormack to open the public meeting of March A, 2022. Roll call was taken of each member, Ms. McCormack, Ms. McDermott, and Mr. Quigley: Motion Approved 3-0. The Board welcomed the newest member of the Planning Board who was voted in at yesterday's Town election, Jim Quigley. He will be serving his five (5) year term. A motion was made by Acting Chair McDermott and seconded by Ms. McCormack to allow Mr. Amrhein to join via phone. Roll Call taken, All in Favor, Motion Approved 4-0. A motion was made by Acting Chair McDermott and seconded by Ms. McCormack to open Item #1, 652 Washington Street. Roll Call Taken, All in Favor, Motion Approved 4-0. First Item on The Agenda — (1) 700 WASHINGTON STREET (CCDRB) — St. Oscar Romero Parish — (Nicole Handricken Sign Design, Brockton, MA) Father Thomas Rafferty introduced himself and along with the representative from Sign Design. They would like to replace the existing post and panel with a new one showing the new parish name, and explained the colors, materials, and size of the sign. The sign will be post & panel, non -lit, and double sided. Sign Panel — (70"W x 47 "H) 1.75" cedar panel with recessed sandblasted texture background (painted PMS 300 C Blue); Raised white border and dimensional logo (painted white); Post/Installation — 6"x6" x 1/8" square -tube aluminum posts; white decorative base (41"W x 8" x 8'; graphics digitally printed (latex) on IJ18o Vinyl with 3M matte lamination; directly into concrete footing; and the Decorative Caps all visible pained white — Top (go" W x 14"D x 2") 2" square tube aluminum frame; bottom (86" W x 1o"D x 6"H)1" square tube aluminum frame with .o63 aluminum skirting; and graphics digitally printed (latex) on IJi8o -vinyl with 3M matte lamination.
