Preservation Application FY2R Letter of Support request — Discussion to propose
an extension trail/boardwalk be built to connect Bailey Street to the existing trails behind
the Waterfall Apartments and Bolivar Street, (Jeff Sullivan, Walk Bike and Hike Committee)
Jeff Sullivan of 4 Bailey Street, introduced himself and explained that as a member of the
Walk Bike & Hike Committee. He is here tonight to explain and promote an application to
the Community Preservation Committee for proposed trails and to gain access to trails that
go behind the dump and Town buildings. The defined walking trails will have access from
Bailey Street behind the aquatic center and the Waterfall Restaurant and Apartments. He is
proposing a fourteen (14) inch boardwalk walkway over Bolivar Street. He received a cost to
survey and will be submitting his application. He wants the Board to know there is state
funding; along with money from Mass Trails in Massachusetts. He is requesting
$loo,000.00, which was recommended by the Conservation Commission, to request a
feasibility study and the creation of a design package.
