Comeau, Jan Chamberlain & Peg Mead and Director Andrea Capone.

The meeting was called to order at 7:06 pm via zoom.

Chair Susan Cogliano asked for a volunteer to work with her on the proposed slate of officers. Chris Untersee
will join Susan in canvassing trustees on their interest in positions on the re-organized board as we do each year.
They will propose a slate of interested parties at the next meeting.

Sub-committee on reopening report:
Peg Mead read the recommendations of the Subcommittee:

The Canton Public Library will enter into the next phase of our re-opening plan on June 1st. At that time we
will re-open the first and second floor of the building for browsing and computer use. The Children’s Library
will re-open by appointment only. Outdoor programs, by registration only, will also resume at this time.

The library will open to the public from 1PM-8:00PM Monday, 10:00AM-8:00PM Tuesday through Thursday,
and from 10AM-4:30PM on Friday and Saturday.

Excepting those children who are registered for a specific YA program, children under the age of 14 must be
accompanied by a parent or guardian while at the library.

Masks must be worn at indoor and outdoor library programs by everyone 2 years of age or older, unless
medically exempt.

Capacity limits will be tied to current state guidelines for occupancy and BOH recommendations for social
distancing.

During the current phase of reopening, there will be limited seating in the building. No sitting on the floors or
other furniture will be permitted.

Library materials will no longer be quarantined, as the state lifted this requirement on 5/3.

Betty Chelmow made a motion to adopt Proposed Reopening Subcommittee Recommendations. Seconded by
Joan Schottenfeld.

During discussion of the motion, it was noted that the library cannot have volunteers working in the building
until September 1, 2021 per the decision by the Select Board regarding all town buildings.

Curbside pick up will be by request only.

Director Capone remains in touch with the Board of Health regarding any updates to the guidelines that affect
the library.
