Discuss possible locations for open space & rec signage (entry, kiosks), current status, and prioritization methods for 5-year installation plan (all) a. Changes include changing the scope of the guidelines book to be for all Wayfinding and Sign Design for the Town of Canton, not just Open Space, Conservation, and Recreation c. Sections on wayfinding and parking (e.g. for the downtown) may be more general best practices, as more study is needed to create actual specific guidelines for those areas d. Guidelines will be a “living document” that should be edited and updated as needed periodically e. Guidelines document should be readily available to Town staff, and public on the Town’s website f. Descriptions of types of Town properties not needed, as target audience is Town Staff g. Definitions and an example should be a part of each type of sign description h. Sign size recommendations should be added i. Graphics should reference examples, Canton or other sign examples provided j. Appendix 3 on the sign improvement plan should be replaced with a list of local qualified vendors, with a caveat on procurement rules 3. Discuss ownership of Messinger Park field (Laura and/or Larry) a. Messinger park is owned by the Canton Playgrounds Association, and leased by the Town for public use b. Any future signage upgrades at the Messinger park or playground should first be reviewed and approved by this group 4. Update on Paul Revere Heritage Site interpretive signage (fonts, colors, seal, etc.) (Emily and Vic) a. Nine out of ten bases for the interpretive panels have been installed b.
