VOTED: 2 — 0. DISCUSSION Reis & Irvy's Automated Frozen Dessert Machine: Mr. Ciccotelli spoke about a proposed automated frozen dessert machine at the Ice House Rink at 65 North Street. He has several concerns about the machine and sanitation. It is an unattended yogurt vending machine that would be cleaned weekly. Manual dispensing machines are cleaned daily. Exposed parts that come in contact with food, such as the dispenser, can be easily contaminated by an errant finger swipe to catch drips, as well as attracting insects and rodents. The Ice House Rink owner plans to attend a future meeting to discuss this machine. Summer Safety Fair: The annual family event will be held on Friday, May 18 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Pequitside Farm. The usual fun vendors and entertainment will be there, as well as several vendors focusing on safety for the whole family. The popular bookmark contest, sponsored by the library, will be therewith a bike for the winner. Hamburgers and hot dogs cost $1.00. Advertising will be in the newspapers, school e -blasts, flyers, and the library sign. -Dr. Rapaport brought up the flooded storm drain in March that resulted in 10" of water near Dedham Street, and whether the Board had any oversight on the proper disposal of dog waste. It took the DPW several days to clean it out, and the problem was 3,600 feet of dog feces in plastic bags that had built up over time and blocking multiple catch basins. While littering is illegal, Mr. Ciccotelli said the DPW controls the storm drains, and there is currently nothing related to animal waste specifically written into the Board of Health regulations.
