First Item on the Agenda — 468 and 474 NEPONSET STREET (Preliminary
Subdivision Plan) (Gregory W. Driscoll, Jr., P.E., Jacobs Driscoll Engineering
Inc.) (Owners: Donald and Theresa Hagerty)
Greg Driscoll explained that this is the second meeting on this Plan. He presented is
responses and comments to and from the Fire Chief, submitted a list of waivers; and is still
researching the center line offset. He has spoken with the Engineering Department
regarding each house having an individual pump/standby generator and grinder pumps, if
this is not to be an accepted street. The manholes will have a gravity system to connect to
the Town water system.
Two (2) memos from the Fire Chief dated March 15, 2017 were read into the record: "Hi
Greg, It looks OK. What I need from you in order to provide a letter is the plan showing the
swept turn patch analysis of a fire truck. The truck specifications are similar to an S Bus 40.
You should have the truck entering from both direction off of Neponset and then path
around the cul-de-sac. I see there is a hydrant at the end of the cul-de-sac which is
something else I would require. Charles E. Doody, EFO, Chief of the Department." And last
Memo: "Hi Greg. Looks good. 24' roadway paved, adequate turning radius and hydrant
located at the end of cul-de-sac. Thanks, Charles E. Doody, EFO, Chief of the Department."
Further, the HOA would be preferred to be accepted but that will be worked through during
the Definitive stage of approval.
Mr. Houston was concerned with the turning lane and wants pavement markings. They will
work to improve and limit the subdivision intersection.
The List of requested Waivers are: as follows and Note: This list of waivers is preliminary
and will change on the Definitive Subdivision plans.
