First Item on the Agenda - PLANS FOR TRANSITION:
Next Item on the Agenda: Discussion on Potential Shared Consultant — The Board
discussed the Consultant and whether it should be staffed out. Mr. Houston has been working
with the Planning Board for over twenty (20) years. The Conservation Commission is make
demands and the Applicants are paying a lot of money for different consultants. Should we be
accepting bids for a new consultant that can review for all three Boards: Planning,
Conservation, and Zoning?
Next Item on the Agenda: Discuss potential new peer -reviewer (RFP, etc.) — Mr. Houston
knows the background of what the Planning Board has been working on for a very long time.
We will talk with the other Boards about what is the logical solution to this.
Next Item on the Agenda: Discuss recommended order of permitting
(Conservation/Planning/Zoning).
Mr. Comeau read a letter into the record dated September 21, 2o16 from Don MacAdam, Vice
Chairman of the Conservation Commission regarding Permitting Working Group: "If the Town
were to more fully operate within the existing municipal finance laws and utilize the Uniform
Procurement Act (M.G.L. Chapter 3oB) I believe applicants with projects which require permits
from multiple Town Boards would realize a more streamlined review timeline and a cost savings
on peer engineering reviews.
