INFORMAL DISCUSSION:
Paul Schneiders Plymouth Rubber Annual Town Meeting Article
Attorney Schneiders submitted report from VHB explaining the differences of a Historic Mill Complex
and densely Developed Area. Attorney Schneiders also submitted the tentative Article 19 & 20 that will be
presented during Annual Town Meeting of 2009. Articles are in reference to the use of the Plymouth Rubber
site and the tentative uses. Attorney Scheniders and Paul Brodemerkle of Site Design Professionals are in the
planning stages of an over 55 independent living support housing complex. Currently an over 55 independent
facility is be constructed in Stoughton Mass; facility would be constructed on the 8.1 acre parcel of the
Plymouth Rubber site.
Conservation Agent Robert Murphy explained to ConCom, Attorney Schneiders and Mr. Brodmerkle that there
are different requirements for a historical mill site and densely developed site. How site is determined ConCom
can then decide on how site can be developed. Issues of concern are the buffer zone, riverfront area; 30' no
build zone, set back and previous construction of site. ConCom will further discuss use of site after Annual
Town Meeting.
