-Informal Discussion. 
Neponset Valley Watershed, represented by Carly Rocklen. 
Ms. Rocklen is working with DCR and Department of Conservation studying Neponset Purple Loosestrife, a 
plant that has spikes of purple flowers. Plants are growing in the wetlands of Brookmeadow, Fowl Meadow and 
Brookwood Farm at the Canton/Milton line. Study requires the purchasing of beetles which will be purchased in 
April, released in the summer. Beetles are used to control the growth of the Purple Loosestrife plant, 
approximately 80,000 beetles to be purchased at 11 cents each. DCR recommends study take place at Ponkapog Bog starting in 2009 until 2014.
