WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 4, 2013
SALAH MEETING ROOM
7:00 P.M.
TOWN HALL
MINUTES
Present: Jeremy Comeau, Chairman
Tori McClain, Clerk
Chris Connolly
George Jenkins
Also present: Tom Houston, Professional Services Corporation
Karen Lawlor, Planning Board Administrative Assistant
Chairman Jeremy Comeau called to order the Planning Board meeting of
December 4, 2013 at'7:00 p.m.
1St Item on the Agenda — Informal Discussion — WAYSIDE LANE (Pat
Considine)
Mr. Connolly recused himself from this hearing and left the room.
Mr. Jenkins didn't want to hear this discussion because there were only three (3)
members present that could vote on this.
Mr. Considine introduced himself and explained that he wanted to talk to the Board
since he is here and no vote need to be taken tonight. He explained there was a
discussion with the Board of Selectmen last night at their meeting and the Engineering
Department would like to eliminate the roundabout and /or island in the cul de sac. They
would like no island and a flat surface with markings because an island will create
tremendous difficulties in regard to plowing and maintenance. They would like the
curbing removed and have the layout and radius all the same with no raised granite
curbing.
Mr. Jenkins stated that this has been ongoing for years and why at the last minute is
Engineering requesting a change. Where were they when we were holding our meetings
and the remand hearings?
Mr. Considine stated that everyone has had time to weigh in on this and what we need is
a resolution. He understands the issues raised and he is fine with taking the island out
and paving.
