Asst. and Recording Secretary Chairman Carroll opened the meeting at 5:12 PM. Pooch-A-Palooza – Prowse Farm (Meditech) Blue Hill River Rd. (PC,GP,KF) rd Event date is June 22 and June 23. Alycia Rovner appeared before the Board. Patty Sins will be late. The Board takes a moment to go through the packet given to them. Chairman Carroll asked if the liquor licenses were in the packet (YES). Do you have anything from Board of Health on letterhead (NO, just emails from Diane White). Who inspects food? Are there any amusements? (moon bounce, golf, toss game). Chairma n Carroll said he has a certain degree of comfort after talking with Ed Walsh. I do not have strong opposition to it. Mr. Pando stated that this was sloppily put together. Half of me wants to deny this permit, this is at the las t minute. Chairman Carroll stated the preliminary work was done. Mr. Pando said he is used to letterhead (Life is Good, etc). Mr. Feeney asked about liability, what kind of insurance? Alycia stated that each vendor is insured. Mr. Feeney said he had a concern: as a Board, a quasi-adjudicatory board, when an event is in town, which could bring in 2,3, or 10 thousand people, it impacts the quality of life. Your group didn’t “get that”. I can imagine what the town of Foxboro goes through with traffic, etc. It is troubling. (Patty Sins arrived at 5:22PM) Life is Good has a good track record, 10 thousand people over a 2 day weekend. They researched adequate emergency, health concerns. The citizen’s quality of life is impacted. Be mindful, if you come back, to come before us. We are the FIRST BOARD. Ms. Sins stated that “You will be our first stop”, we have learned a lot. This is a high class event. Chairman Carroll asked when the tents were going up (FRIDAY). Food trucks on Saturday? (YES). Get used to town regulations. I am impressed with your efforts (Police, Fire, BOH, Bldg. We don’t want to be the ones to say no. We will waive the formal requirements today. Mr. Pando said this is slipshod. We have businesses (2 attorneys and an architect), we were here. We stopped our business. Being late is a slap in the face. I will vote against this, if it is handled in the same way. I have no confidence. Having said that, let’s get this passed us. Chairman Carroll said no apologies, actions, next time.
