Tim Brooks – Canton Recreation Dept
requested an informal hearing regarding signs at
Washington Street in front of the Police Dept and at Cape Cod Lane. The signs are for traffic
safety during Homecoming/Block Part on September 29, 2007. Chairman Carroll, Greg Pando
and Jim Fitzgerald all had no problem with the traffic safety signs. Motion was made, seconded
and voted 3-0 to grant.

There was some discussion about the Reebok/CAI sign at the high school and at Draper Brothers
property, as well.

Canton School Committee – Tot Lot
Paul Matthews and Ken Leon presented for the School Committee. The original approval of the
site plan was in August of 2006. They are requesting minor modification to the site plan. In
August 2006, the Zoning Board added conditions to the decision, which were : 10’ wide raised
walkway, and bollards in front of the tot lot for safety. Lisa Grega, in the Engineering Dept, and
Ed Walsh, Building Commissioner were concerned with the raised walkway. They felt it might
cause puddling, and suggested a speed bump.
