Minutes of the Meeting of April 12, 2007. PRESENT: Paul B. Carroll, Chairman James F. Fitzgerald, Jr. Gregory L. Pando ALSO PRESENT: Sue Franco, Recording Secretary Mr. Carroll opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the Salah Hearing Room, Memorial Hall. Ann Galvin – 29, 36, 38 Ames Ave. Attorney Paul Schneiders came before the Board representing the petitioner. He stated he is requesting a continuance to May 10, 2007. James Salah / JMS Realty Trust – 25 Shawmut Rd. Mr. John Glossa of Glossa Engineering came before the Board representing the petitioner on an informal hearing. Mr. Jim Haley of Salah Engineering and Mr. Tom Salah were also present on behalf of the petition. Mr. Glossa stated the petitioners had received site plan approval at a prior hearing to construct a building. He stated at the time of that hearing, they had shown the loading dock doors to the right rear corner of the building. He stated as the final plans were drawn for the building, the elevator is going to be located in the middle of the building and the building would be used for more of an office type use. He stated because they would not be bringing in lots of goods and it would be more office type deliveries, it makes more sense to have the loading docks closer to the elevator. He stated they will move the dumpster to the other side of the loading dock. He stated they have also changed give parking spaces that were perpendicular to the building to parallel parking spaces. He stated they added two parking spaces to the front of the building to offset the spaces they lose in the back. He stated the parking requirements for this building would be 136 and there are 177 spaces, plus 6 handicap spaces for a total of 183 parking spaces. He stated the previous plan showed 185 parking spaces. He stated they made a minor change in the grading on the site by lowering it one foot because the loading dock needs to be four feet higher than the paved parking area. Mr. Carroll asked if everything else remains the same on the plan.
