Mr. Del Vecchio has recused himself and left Ms. Elkort acting chair to discuss. Mr. Friel noted that there has been alot of communication with and requests from the neighbors on Bolivar Street. Mr. Friel advised town, to wait until the resurfacing and line painting was completed before bringing Mr. Brendan Connolly before the Board of Selectmen. Mr. Brendan Connolly noted the poles in question are 43 and 44. In 1983 Verizon petitioned the town, to relocate pole 43, 18 feet to the east, for the new roadway, known as Bolivar Court. In 1984 the actual poles were in the ground, Verizon never replaced them. Mr. Miller a neighbor is requesting they move the poles 4 1/2 feet towards the property line. It was Mr. Connolly belief if we were to do this, we would have to move the guy wire also. Mr. Brendan Connolly does not feel it is a safety issue; the wire is located there most likely because of ledge. He would rather not do it as it impacts other neighbor property negatively. Mr. Brendan Connolly noted that Verizon could move the poles to the other side of the street but this would require easements from neighbors and town. Ms. Elkort asked if we have had any complaints from the owner at 440 Bolivar Street and any other complaints at this location. Mr. Friel replied not to my knowledge. Mr. Salvatori has recommended we take this matter under advisement, as no safety condition requires immediate action. Motion made to take this matter under advisement. Motion: Ms. Elkort Second: Mr. John Connolly Vote: 3-0 Vote to approve the Joint Petition from Verizon and NSTAR to relocate one pole on Mechanic Street Motion: Ms. Elkort Second: Mr. John Connolly Vote: 3-0 Mr. DelVecchio has joined the other Selectmen to discuss Capital Budget Requests.
