• This article was based on the Canton center overlay district.
• There could be amendments to this article as well as substitutions made on town meeting floor.
• FINCOM will probably not have additional information prior to sending motions to Town Counsel for his
review.

B.BS. Language has been removed from the paragraph and the words "family oriented center" has been
inserted.
• The Rte. 138 Study Committee has sought help from the Planning Board with language on Section
5.1 1.7B.B2 with regard to "related mechanical and/or live entertainment".
• Town Counsel has given the opinion that it is legal to overlay an established overlay.
• Concerns of FINCOM members include ratio of residential to business, number of residential units, cost
responsibility of infrastructure and impact on 40B ratio.
• Peter Pineo, resident of Rte. 138 area, expressed concerns with this article with regard to uses of properties,
the potential housing growth and impact on infrastructure. Mr. Pineo compared the area this zoning by law
change covers as a huge area compared to the Plymouth Rubber site. Infrastructure is also of great concern
to Mr. Pineo.
