WEDNESDAY September 6, 2006 Members present: Jeremy Comeau, Vice Chairman, Jillian Hayes, Clerk, Dean Miller, Chris Connolly. George Jenkins absent. Dave Sanderson, from PSC, present. Suzanne Feigen, Secretary The Meeting came to order at 7:00 P.M. CITIZENS SPEAK No one wished to speak. 1. SITE PLAN-70 GREENLODGE ST.-HOOSIC CLUB-MINOR MODIFICATION-WALTER SPIEGEL, ESQ./SANTIAGO ROZAS, AlA (due 9/26/06) Chris Connolly recused himself from this hearing at 7:04 P.M. and left the room. Present tonight is Atty. Walter Spiegel who represents the applicant, the Hoosic Club, and he is also a resident of the Town of Canton. With him is Santiago Rozas, the architect. The president of the Club, was also present. They were before this Board and the Zoning Board in 2003 for a larger scope of work. The membership did not authorize the finances to do that construction, so they are before the Boards tonight proposing the following minor work. They want to perform some material renovations to the Club house to flow better, by building the deck to the rear of the Club house, and rebuild the pool house. They also want to install a veranda in front of the Club house. They are not adding any parking. The architect showed a rendering of the proposed work. Mr. Miller asked about the construction on the Club house. They do have an existing deck, which is outside of the Club house on the left. They want to add another deck to the rear. The porch/veranda will have a canopy and it will be open. They wil! not change the foundation. This was all explained on the design plan. Upon a motion made by Mr. Miller and seconded by Mrs. Hayes to send a favorable recommendation to the Zoning Board of Appeals on the minor modification of a site plan for the Hoosic Club on Greenlodge Street, and recommend them back to the Zoning Board of Appeals for review, the Board voted 3-0 in favor.
