she hopes to see the Board back here again next year.

Well #9 Update - Tony Zuena, SEA Consultants; Michael Trotta, Superintendent of
the Public Works Department.

Mr. Zuena gave a brief background history on Well #9 and the options the town has (see
attached presentation packet). He provided the iron and manganese concentrations for
Well #9 dating back from May of 1964 to present. Mr. Zuena then broke down the local
sources (Well No.5; Well No.7; Well No.9; Well No. 10; Well No. 11; and Well No.
12). He noted that Well 7 is currently inactive, but is listed as an "emergency supply."
He noted the combined yield from Well Nos. 11 and 12. He noted that recent changes to
the Water Management Act program mandate that Canton may have to limit its average
summer demand to 1.4 time its winter demand. Canton currently has a summer to winter
ration of 1.59: 1.

Mr. Zuena reviewed the options of a water treatment facility (see attached Memo) and the
different locations should this option be feasible. He noted that although this might be an
option, there would be costs incurred.

Mrs. Elkort noted that this has been a long drawn out process. She inquired if there were
anyway to expedite this process. Mr. Zuena noted that the permit process for this next
phase would not be as tortuous as the previous stage.
