Minutes of the Meeting of May 27, 2004.

PRESENT: Paul B. Carroll, Chairman
 James F. Fitzgerald, Jr.
 Gregory L. Panda

ALSO
PRESENT: Sue Franco, Recording Secretary

Mr. Carroll opened the Meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the Salah Hearing Room, Memorial Hall.

Canton Fire Department - 99 Revere St.

Chief Tim Ronayne came before the Board informally to request a special permit. He
stated construction is beginning at the fire station and he is not comfortable having the
firefighters in the building during that construction. He stated he is requesting two outside
storage trailers be located on the property during the course of construction. The first trailer
would be 14' by 78' and would be used to house the firefighters. The trailer would be hooked up
to telephone, water and sewer. The trailer would have a door that would open directly into the
fire station. The second trailer would be 8' by 20' and would be used to house the protective
clothing used by the firefighters. He stated both trailers would be necessary for a period of seven
to eight months. He submitted a site plan showing the proposed location afthe trailers.

Mr. Carroll stated the request seems reasonable to him.

Mr. Fitzgerald stated he feels the request is reasonable.

Mr. Panda concurred. He asked whether the fire apparatus would be stored outside
during the winter months.

Chief Ronayne stated he is working with the contractor and is hoping to have the
apparatus back inside the building by September.

Mr. Fitzgerald moved the petition of Canton Fire Department and Chief Tim Ranayne for
a temporary Special Permit for Outside Storage to allow two storage trailers, one 14' by 78' and
one 8' by 20', to be located in accordance with the submitted plan labeled Exhibit A, dated
5/27/04, permit granted through May 31, 2005, with the proviso that a further extension can be
requested. The move was seconded and the Board voted unanimously to approve.
