American Lezion - 950R Washinzton St.

Messrs. Carroll, Pando and Quigley heard the petition.

Mr. Alan Leary came before the Board representing petitioner. He stated the
petitioner is seeking a modification of the Site Plan (Canton High School, 960
Washington St.) dated 12/5/02, in order to add two additions to the existing building.
The first addition would be a thirty-two (32') foot by thirty-three (33 ') foot two-story
addition, however, the first floor of said addition would be a basement level floor and the
second floor would be a first floor. The second addition would be five (5') feet by nine
(9') feet and would be located at the corner of the building. He stated there would be no
changes in drainage, utilities, lighting or vehicular movement, however, 1100 s.f. of
impervious surface would be created. The larger addition would make the existing
building compliant with the ADA. Mr. Leary stated there are several members of the
post who are in wheelchairs and are unable to visit because the building is currently not
handicapped accessible. He referenced a memorandum from the Board of Selectmen
stating they are in support of the proposed additions.
