Ms. Hazel Hopkins appeared before the Board informally on behalf of Canton
Corporate to request a replacement of the existing free-standing sign. She stated the sign
was originally granted in 1982. The proposed sign would use the same brick base and
foundation, however, will be larger because there are now more tenants. She stated the
dimensions would be 8' by 5' and 9'6" in height. She submitted a rendering of the
proposed sign for the Board to review.

After due deliberations, Mr. Fitzgerald moved the petition of Hazel Hopkins and
Canton Corporate Park to replace the existing sign with a single faced aluminum sign,
with the address location and tenant panels, to be placed on the existing brick base and to
be in accordance with the petitioner's representations be granted. The move was
seconded and the Board voted unanimously to grant.

Attorney Paul Schneiders and Mr. Michael Bruce came before the Board
informally to request a Special Permit (Use) to allow a fitness center. Attorney
Schneiders stated Mr. Bruce did not realize that the use was not permitted in the
downtown area. He has applied for formal hearing for the 2/13/03 meeting, however, is
requesting the Board grant Mr. Bruce temporary approval because the petitioner has
already ordered equipment to be delivered.

Mr. Fitzgerald inquired as to whether traffic and parking would be an issue. He
stated he is not in favor of granting a temporary approval before hearing all the
