BOARD OF SELECTMEN MINUTES Wednesday, April 27, 2005 CANTON HIGH SCHOOL Present: John Connolly, Chairman, Avril T. Elkort, Vice-Chairman; Robert E. Burr, Jr., Clerk; Victor D. Del Vecchio, Member; William T. Friel, Town Administrator; Christina Carlton, Administrative Assistant, and Judy Nelson, Administrative Secretary Location: Canton High School Teacher's Meeting Room. Chairman Connolly called the Meeting to Order at 6:40 p.m. 6:45 Canton Dale: Dan Donahue, Town Engineer Mr. Donahue briefed the Board on the progress that has been made on the punch list that was given to Mr. Krowski prior to the Board of Selectmen's Meeting on March 22, 2005, which held the Public Hearing for the Notice of Intent to Layout Canton Dale. Mr. Donahue expressed his professional opinions. The Board discussed and decided that unfortunately due to ADA requirements and other aspects of work still uncompleted this would have to be postponed until the supposed Special Town Meeting in the Fall. Motion was made to continue the Public Hearing for the Notice of Intent to Layout Canton Dale. Motion: Bob Burr Second: Avril Elkort VOTE: 5-0 Action Items/New Business: Approval of Application for Amusement Devices for Saint John the Evangelist School located at 696 Washington Street for Wednesday, May 11, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Thursday, May 12, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Friday, May 13, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. 11:00 p.m.; and Saturday, May 14, 2005 from 12:00 noon to 11:00 p.m. Motion was made to approve the above-referenced Carnival dates for Saint John's the Evangelist School contingent upon receipt of the copy of the Certificate of Workman's Comp. Insurance. Motion: Bob Burr Second: Avril Elkort VOTE: 5-0 Approval of Application to Obtain A (Special) License to Serve Alcoholic Beverages at a One Day Event for Sodexo d/b/a Creative Gourmet for the following dates: 05-05- 05 through 05-08-05; 05-10-05 through 05-15-05; 05-17-05 through 05-22-05; and 05-24-05 through 05-26-05 between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for the Junior League of Boston Decorator's Show being held at Prowse Farm located at Five Blue Hill River Road, Canton.
