The Zoning Board of Appeals may, in the course of granting a special permit or site plan approval for nonresidential development, waive any of these performance standards where such waiver is not inconsistent with public health and safety, and where such waiver does not derogate from the purposes of this section because the proposed development will adequately serve the goals and objectives set forth herein.
